The bar chart illustrates the quantity of free time men and women with various job statuses have in a typical week.
At a glance, it is evident that both genders, irrespective of their employment status, have leisure time of at least 30 hours per week. It is also noticeable that men generally have more free time than women in the same employment category.
Looking at the details, unemployed men have the highest amount of leisure time, approximately 85 hours per week, which is slightly more than unemployed women who have around 80 hours. For both sexes, the amount of free time decreases as the employment status changes from part-time to full-time. Full-time employed men have around 50 hours of leisure time, whereas their female counterparts have slightly less, around 40 hours.
Interestingly, retired men and women have almost the same amount of leisure time, approximately 80 hours per week. However, housewives have the least amount of free time, just over 50 hours, which is significantly less than that of househusbands who have about 70 hours.
